Running (Somewhat Retired?)

I am a former competitive runner (and NCAA athlete at the University of Chicago) now competing sometimes, as brings me joy! Mostly, I love trail running, chatting with my friends, and perhaps grabbing coffee after :)

Currently, you can find me on early morning sunrise trail runs around the Tam watershed, swimming in aquatic park, biking around the Bay, and perhaps also recovering at hot yoga after. A little bit of everything you could say.

Impala Racing Team


Formerly, I was part of the Impala Racing Team - a women’s only racing team based in San Francisco, CA. In 2025, I served as the Communications Director on the Board of Directors for the Impalas (building off prior experience as the team’s social media coordinator) working to highlight our speedy women across all age groups and speeds. This included newsletters, website, instagram, strava, and more.

Key Goals:

  • Streamlining messaging and communications across the team

  • Highlighting achievements and accomplishments of teammates

  • Showcasing the community and fun that comes of being part of an all-womens group

  • Highlighting DEI events and runs with other community groups

Content Created:

  • Quarterly Newsletters recapping our outstanding race performances, team events, and blurbs from our coaches and president.

  • Strava Events within our team page allowing teammembers to rsvp and increasing awareness for team events.

  • Website modernization including coordinating team photoshoots and updating the style and formatting of our website.

  • Instagram Static Posts highlighting individual atheletes or key races, tagging our team sponsors and the athletes involved

  • Instagram Reels to show the fun, spirit, and energy at our team events and practices

  • Instagram Stories to show casual team events, runs, highlights and repost content from other groups in our community

Our Pastry Performer this week however goes to an ultra lady- congrats to Bethy Ronces for running the Quad Dipsea! In her 60s, Bethy placed 5th in her age group and was out on the trails for 7 hours and 42 minutes. Fantastic job, Bethy! @janethebak
